Assurant Solutions Names Ian Moffatt European President

LONDON: Assurant Solutions, a global provider of specialised insurance and insurance-related products, has promoted Ian Moffatt to senior vice president, Assurant Solutions, and president of its European businesses. In addition to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Ian will have overall management responsibility for Germany, Italy and Spain.

Bringing 15 years’ experience of senior management roles within banking and insurance, Moffatt joined Assurant Solutions in 2004 as sales and marketing director. He was promoted to managing director and country president for the UK and Ireland in 2006.

Assurant Solutions International Business President Mike Anderson said: “Ian has invigorated our businesses in the UK and Ireland since taking the leadership role two years ago. His vision, knowledge and energy have been pivotal in taking these businesses forward and positioning them for future success. Moffatt’s successor in the UK and Ireland will be announced at a later date.
